The Big Book asks the following questions to help you decide if you are an alcoholic or not:

"If, when you honestly want to, you find you cannot quit entirely, or if when drinking you have little control over the amount you take, you are probably an alcoholic."

If you answered yes to either or both of these questions then you are probably an alcoholic. YES, IT'S THAT SIMPLE.
